WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic Care

A chiropractor is a healthcare professional who specializes in the treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those related to the spine. They use manual techniques (done by hands), such as spinal adjustments, to restore proper function to the joints, muscles, and nervous system, providing relief from pain, improved mobility, and enhanced overall health.

Education

To become a chiropractor, individuals must complete a Degree in Chiropractic program (D.C.), which typically takes six years to complete in an accredited College or University. The standard program includes coursework in anatomy, diagnostics, physiology, biomechanics, and spinal manipulations/adjustments, as well as extensive clinical experience, where students work with patients under the supervision of licensed chiropractors. Upon graduation, chiropractors must complete an internship program that includes observation and community during six months to one year.
